HAIL & STORM DAMAGE

THINK YOUR ROOF WAS HIT BY HAIL?

Don't wait for a leak. Let BOLD inspect your roof and exterior for storm damage — free, with photos of everything we find, and an honest answer about whether a claim makes sense.

WHAT HAIL DAMAGE ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

Hail rarely tears a roof apart. It bruises it. The shingle stays in place and the roof looks fine from the ground while the mat underneath is already failing — which is why so many homeowners find out a year later, after the claim window has closed.

BRUISED SHINGLES

Soft, dark spots where granules were knocked loose. Press one and it gives like a bruise on fruit. That mat is now exposed to UV and will fail early.

RANDOM HIT PATTERN

Real hail has no pattern — scattered circular strikes across slopes. Straight lines and repeating marks usually mean foot traffic or manufacturing defects, not hail.

SOFT METAL DENTS

Gutters, downspouts, vents, flashing, window wraps, garage doors and A/C fins dent first. They're the evidence adjusters look for to date the storm.

GRANULES IN THE GUTTER

A heavy layer of black grit in the gutters or at downspout outlets after a storm means the shingle surface took a beating.

WIND DAMAGE

Creased, lifted or missing shingles along ridges and rakes. A crease breaks the seal even when the shingle is still in place.

COLLATERAL DAMAGE

Screens, siding, fences, skylights and patio covers. All of it belongs in a properly documented scope — and all of it is routinely missed.

WHY YOU CAN'T SEE IT FROM THE GROUND

THE DAMAGE IS UNDER THE GRANULES

NO HOLE, NO LEAK — YET

A bruise doesn't leak on day one. It leaks after two more summers of UV on exposed mat, long after your insurer's filing deadline.

VIEWING ANGLE HIDES IT

From the driveway you see the edge of each shingle, not its face. Bruising is only visible standing on the slope, looking straight down.

DAMAGE ISN'T EVEN

Storms hit one or two elevations hardest. A quick look at the front of the house misses the slope that actually took the storm.

HOW OUR INSPECTION & CLAIM PROCESS WORKS

01

PROTECT THE PROPERTY

If water is coming in, call us. We offer emergency repairs and tarping to protect the opening fast, and we photograph the damage before anything is disturbed.

02

FREE DAMAGE INSPECTION

We walk the roof and all four elevations, chalk and photograph every hit, check soft metals, and tell you plainly whether there's enough damage to support a claim.

03

REVIEW THE EVIDENCE

You see the photos before you decide anything. If there isn't a claim, we say so — filing a weak claim can cost you more than it returns.

04

MEET THE ADJUSTER

We're on the roof with your adjuster, with our documentation in hand, so the full exterior scope gets looked at instead of just the front slope.

05

REVIEW THE SCOPE

We read the insurer's scope line by line for missed items — ridge, valley metal, drip edge, ventilation, code upgrades, siding, gutters, screens.

06

RESTORE & WARRANTY

We build the approved scope, clean the property with magnetic sweeps, and register your warranties: IKO Craftsman Premier plus our 10-year in-house labor warranty.

Bold Brothers Roofing & Exteriors is a contractor — not a public adjuster or an insurance company. We do not interpret your policy, determine coverage, or guarantee that a claim will be approved. We document what we find and build what is approved.
